SW Saskatchewan
Ed, was there any history in your area from the French period?

The French from Quebec had explored all the areas west of the British colonies and you can tell it from all the French city names still existing throughout the Midwest, the Mississippi valley and the northern tier -Dakota's , Montana, Idaho and Washington-Oregon.

In fact, after the French and Indian wars, what was later known as the Northwest territory was part of Quebec.

With all the interest in Texas about the Mexican era and the period of the Texas Republic, it seems odd to me that there is so little documentation of this era outside of the Quebec Church.
