On a farm that our landlord owns about 40 mi north of us, there is a marker where Teddy Roosevelt killed a bear. This was supposedly on the same trip where the "Teddy Bear" got its name. Nothing left now but the concrete marker, someone stole the bronze plaque that told the story.
