You're absolutely right with your stance. There is no room in ag for the finger pointing and the rift it causes. It is impossible to scare consumers into a sense of food safety.
As an organic farmer, I can say that there is no greater feeling than providing a customer with a product that they WANT and sought you out to buy from because of your production practices.
