Subject: Paying higher rent for ground you don't really need?

Michigan
About a month ago I mentioned on agtalk that I was losing a farm to CRP. I received paperwork from FSA to sign off as the operator. I text the landlord and stated that before I put that paperwork in the mail I'd like to made a offer of higher rent and would tile a portion of the farm.
He responded that he would think it over and get back with me.
Here's the issue, if you want to call it that. The rent that I offered(the highest I've ever offered) is too much in the event crop prices go down. I would be farming it to simply say that I farm it. I don't really need it, but I hate to see it go idle to CRP after I've brought up its fertility and cleaned up the rocks etc. yields are good there and it's very close to home, but with higher rent it could be a wash.
Has anyone setup a rental agreement to change with crop prices? For example if the price of corn were to drop 20% land rent could be adjusted. TIA
