I agree it's crap feed quality. This is pure brome as it's been in 6 years already. I know exactly the condition I got it as it was crp, I grid sample every 4 years so I know how far I moved the needle. Only butt Hurt I had was spread build rates the spring before because he said it would never go to crp




I've baled a ton of CRP hay. Its crap hay with little feed value, esp with the varieties they are demanding be planted nowadays. 5 bales every three years isn't really much fertilizer.


I think most farmers vastly over-estimate how much they "built" fertilizer values in the soil. I've known several who were butt-hurt from losing a farm demand soil samples to get reimbursed for fertilizer building only to find out they really didn't move the needle.
