Having control over the manure makes you more competitive on the grain side. Sure makes $250 an acre rent more tolerable.

As far as low commodity prices, I would not worry about that so much if your pig supplier is solid. We have been through this too many times for me to get too worked about that.

There is flexibility on the hog contract prices. Check with multiple integrators and play them off one another. Not as much in a down cycle, but they can still be worked if you have value to them.
