Subject: RE: Hog industry the next few years

There's a handful here from the 70's or so to 90's. Most are down to just a handful of guys left owning the shares. There's a few that have sold out to individual owners, but still independent local guys. Not a whole lot of guys with hogs right around here but the ones that do don't show any sign of backing down. There's two guys that actually both own shares in several co ops. These co ops are under 1200 sows I don't know if the integrators around would even want them. We don't have a lot of integrators mostly Christiansen to the west and pillen to the south. Maschoffs are trying hard to get finishers but only got a few guys hooked up.

Do you get dividends on your shares or have to pay in to keep it operating? Just curios I don't know much how them are set up. They seem to have ran there course here I don't see how you could get a bunch of farmers to agree on anything.
