My Uncle was a Methodist Minister, he insisted there was a difference between a preacher and a minister. A preacher would do nothing much more than tell you how to be a Christian from the pulpit whereas a minister would show you by example, all of the time. Even though Uncle Preston passed many years after he "retired" from the church, he never stopped ministering to and for people.
