nw/nc iowa on the banks of West Buttrick Creek.. | Our last two pastors have either retired from a profession or made a mid life change into the ministry, both had degrees, one went thru the major churches system and another went thru several years in our current shortened method. Enjoyed both of them because they have real life experience, one an engineer and one a banker. They have had other life experiences and can relate to us.
I think there are many pastors out there that are a product of their grandma wanting a pastor in the family and grandma paid their way thru the sem. Eight years of college and sem on grandma's checkbook. Many are not very happy and have no idea what the real world is.
