Somebody around here planted cover crops in their drown out spots in their bean field after last summers rain and this spring they had to replace all the tile because roots plugged it up. I'm not sure if it was rye but it was some type of cover crop.
Read this twice. Just wondering why it didn't occur to them to dig up the tile to determine why the crop drowned out before planting covers? It would be pretty easy for me to believe the tile was already plugged, not knowing anything else about the situation...... |
