Geuda Springs, Kansas | Due to eheat being a lazy rooted crop as well as having low carbon, I have found it somewhat hard to notill into wheat stubble. If you can raise some double crop beans or a good cover crop to open up the soil as well provide organic matter. Some of my harder heavy clay soils benefit more from a cover versus 10 bpa dc beans. I get 35 inches of rain in my area. Colby ks is much much drier do it is very hard to for us to give Johnny pop advise and tell him to raise cover crops when he maybe only gets 10-15 inches a year of rainfall. | |
