I fall ripped a little field right below my house and the neighbors no till ground looks like a lake this morning after another night of rain. All spring not one bit of water has run off my field while his has the ditches full. But he did run cattle on his to. I have another place in the hills where we filled in a dam and revene. The dam never did have hardly any water in it since they changed things above us. We ripped the ground after moving lots of dirt and planted oats. I was worried about it washing a bit before the oats got established , but with all the rain we have had , no standing water or warshing at all. Your ground must be different from ours.
