Near-north Ontario, French River | Our taxes are probably higher than yours in the US, IF you don't include your health care insurance premiums. If you include your premiums ( to give a somewhat fair comparison as our health care is paid for through taxes) I think you will find our taxes are similar if not favourable compared to yours. One must keep in mind that Canada is a larger country relative to the US but we have 10% of the population, so I'm not sure a straight up comparison of taxes is really a fair way to judge things. |
