Ok All, Thanks for the feedback. Now I'm intrigued. Farmer I worked for as a kid never saved back seed more than 1 year. Younger local guys don't either. Sounds like this may be another area where expeience and education are in conflict??? Seems that the further out I get from college the less I find guys with experience agreeing with the education I was told.
From a small farmer perspective if I started saving my own seed I would save around 10-15$ per acre. In our dry county some years this is half or all of the profit!.
Tell me more.
