NE SD		Organize first, toss later AFTER getting the ok. The approach is important as well. Don't just say "ok I'm throwing this out" say something like, "ok, are we really going to need this?" If he has agreed to the cleaning, give him the final say or at least make him feel like he has it, just clear it with him first. Throw him a bone every now and then and keep something he just wants for no reason and he'll bend on most of the other stuff. And don't just say ok we're cleaning today, right now. Mention it like hey I've got some free time next week, want to sort through some things in here with me so I can get started on cleaning this up?
