North of London		Don't toss it without his Ok.

Maybe you can organize it in 'piles' that you think could go and then get his OK.

Someplace else to store it where it is not in the way of shop work?
That could help without throwing out what he wants to keep.

I am a keeper too and maybe a little help sorting will get his permission to give it the toss to scrap or burn.

If he gives you permission to 'clean house' then you are all set but until then do not throw anything away except real junk like some of those ld belts that are beyond use because of age and brittle etc.

There are probably fond memories for him in some of that stuff.
