Subject: RE: Cleaning Hoarder's Shop, Help!

Near-north Ontario, French River
Get some pallets and organize stuff according to "junk", "not sure"," don't even know what this is" , "usable stuff " etc etc... when your dad gets back show him the neatly organized shop, and the line of pallets. ASK him what's safe to toss and what he NEEDS kept. -FWIW both my brother and father are hoarders as well. I feel your pain. We have planter parts in the barn for planters that we haven't even owned in +20 yrs. I'm told to leave them because someday, somebody might need them, so on the pile they go. Frustrating as heck but it is what it is. On the other hand I'm the "we haven't used it in 5 yrs. toss it !" type... followed by the " where is that part we had 5 yrs ago.... oh yeah we tossed it.. lets go buy another one " ! Murphy's law
