Rows around the ear are determined at the beginning of the season at about V5, so there must have been some stress early on. The length of kernels is what will be effected this time of the year. As for the warm weather I don't think it helped or hurt pollination unless you were in need of water. We have had a few warm days but it has also been quite humid. I don't mind seeing hot humid greenhouse conditions for the crops, although it doesn't make it very pleasant to work outside.
