Central Iowa | I know for a fact that our corn was pollinating during the most oppressive hot humid weather I can recall in recent memory. Our best looking corn was planted April 15 and started pollinating around July10th in my area around Ames.
Seedy chick and clay, were you out of Iowa from July 10-14? It was hot and humid as i have seen during pollination. The whole state doesn't pollinate at the same time as you well know. Great crop coming but some hybrids were not meant to handle heat right at pollination. As always the harvest will tell the story.
