Combining corn with a 9550 going east and west with a very strong south wind. Husks and leaves were floating around the machine a little higher in the air then normal due to the wind and getting sucked in the emgine compartment and clinging to the injector lines. Well at the west end turning to the north to go back east I could smell something burning, hopped out and had some trash smoldering on top of the exhaust manifold/injector lines. Course stupid me I just snuffed it out with my gloves and all was well. No time to think just did it. Completely spaced the extingisher off...DUH me!! This also was being blown off daily to keep it clean. After that we blew it off a little more often in those conditions.
