North Central Iowa | Guys I don't farm anymore but I think the real problem is going to be what the revenue guaranty level will be on the 2016 crop. If we raise an average crop this year ( which we have to assume ) and the currency's stay where they are at I think that getting financing for a lot of guys in 2016 is going to be the problem. The banks are going to force things back to reality. Land buyers are going to find out that land does not always go up and new machinery looses value faster than it can pay for itself. I have tried to tell some of these young farmers that there was a reason that their dads had tractors 30 years old on the farm. | |
