Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | This was probably the year to leave the seed in the bag, fertilizer unbought and just taken a job off the farm to pay the minimum expenses. Unless something extreme happens in July we're not going to be worrying about just the lack of profit but substantial losses in real equity. The market will punish farmers for planting corn & soybeans like they haven't in thirty years. The futures speculators are going to teach us farmers the meaning of the words "Fear & Greed", our fear and their greed. |
