High cost, run probably newer iron but do custom work which allows that. Iron is frm 35 year old tractor to 2yr old none bought new, baler cutter, rake finance @ 0% for 3 trade every 3yr. Initial purchase was tough but other than cutter blades and grease no repair cost or down time. Cow calf operation vaccinate and give everything twice. Winter on hay and protein tubs and rye grass, no feed and wean 600-700lb calf. Do some custom baling, sell hay, cattle hauling etc also. High cattle prices everyone not in the business thinks we getting rich right. Lol . Paid 2750-3200$ for replacement cattle this fall didn't cull quite as hard. The she's bred but her teeth are short got a good bit of age on her, her bags not the best prob. need to sell went to work her turn her out paid a grand for her 8 years ago maybe she can raise one more of those 1200$ calves.lol what one calls high cost low cost I would say varies due to location, type of beef operation. If happy amd staying in business keep doing what works for you
