I dont mind mantaining fence but its all shot these barbwire fences must be 100+ years old I put a couple miles new every year at that rate you dont see a diference


It amazes me reading things like what you posted, I can only imagine putting up a couple miles every year. I am sure it is a "here" thing as farm sizes are so varied depending on region. I dont believe us to be a small farm, though we are fairly small compared to most of our neighbors, but we still have quite a few acres. If I put up a couple miles a year I would have circled our whole place in a couple years and crisscrossed it several times within a few more. We are also very compact and square so not a lot of exterior which I am sure can add up in miles.
