We have a 2011 Magnum 180 and are running a ground drive white planter now.. Our seed is being monitored by our fmx, which runs our shutoffs and counts population, singluation, etc.. We are currently looking to get a 2012 Case 1250 Hydraulic drive which comes with a 700 Monitor. I'm being told that in order to track singulation, skips, multiples and spacing on the 700 we would need to upgrade to accustat, but that is only offered on the newer planters. What are my options, if any, to see all of that information?

With the Pro 700, you either need a new planter with AccuStat, or you need to put AFS AccuControl on a planter. For example, you could replace your FMX with a Pro 700 on your existing planter, and keep all the same functionality.

If you get a Case IH AFS planter and want to use the FMX with it, you'll have quite a bit of retrofitting to do, to bypass the factory electronics and put Field-IQ on. And as you said, you'd still need the 700 (or a manual fold box) for frame control.

The Precision Planting system would be another option, depending on how many displays you want and how comfortable you are sharing your data. Case IH and Precision Planting have a partnership now, so your Case IH dealer may be in a position to offer you some good advice here. But not all CIH dealers are PP certified.
