Lots of good responses so far. One thing we have stressed is school work comes first. They may have to stay home from combining if grades are not good enough. Also we live on an acreage not on the farm, so that helps. We don't let them go much after school, to hard to get school work done and they still need time to be kids (playing football or basketball or just playing around in the back yard).
