N FLA | I may have commented on other post. There is an overcapacity of feedlots and underavailabilty of calves. Corn is corn. You don't have any better competitive advantage to turn it into $ than the nearby buyers. Remember cattle have a rumen, legs, and can turn crop residues and other wastes into $. Find your competitive advantage. I think you're asking the wrong questions and need to get this intensive management/input strategy out of your mind. Figure out how to be the "lazy cattle farmer." | |
