North of London | I could be wrong but didn't NASA have a mishap with a lander or orbiter on the moon because one part used metric and the other was built using US standard measure?
You see Imperial is actually the system Britain used as well as countries like Canada, Australia etc. until adopting the SI system (metric).
Imperial has over 4 litres in a gallon.
The US system only has 3. something litres in its gallon.
