Subject: RE: Reasons to use metric

Rolla, ND
In most cases, we get the medicine and the instructions. That's it, though I have received a syringe with gradations a couple of times for child meds.

Then you go home and give or take the medicine.

Let's say the medicine says take 10 ml twice a day. There is nothing in most houses to measure that. They are going to take a spoon and guess.

I would think the error rate here would be very, very high. Unless you provide the measuring device.

Of course if you provide the teaspoon or tablespoon measuring device and say take one three times a day. I would guess error rates get pretty low then too.

So my question. Do families have accurate measuring devices for medicine just sitting around the home in metric countries?
