| Not sure why they chose to make a movie about Noah, there's only like 4 small chapters about him in the Bible, even though he supposedly lived for almost a millennium. Way longer than JC and many more lost opportunities to shape the fate of Humankind, it seems to me.
I guess the Flood was too great a story to pass upon. Does the movie mention the origins of the myth, the polytheist Sumerian and Babylonian tales of Ziusudra and Gilgamesh, which both mention a long lived hero and the Flood? The earliest versioin we know predates Moses writing the Pentateuch. I don't plan on seeing the movie, I found it ridiculous how everybody has elaborate costumes and jewelry like in The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones at a time when the loincloth was still the latest fashion... |
