If you already own a batwing mower and 100hp tractor that's where I'd start. You can cover a decent amount of ground at 5.5-6mph while still sizing up the stalks. My dad still wants me to do this before discing, in his mind we are still using a conventional drill and wants everything decomposed before spring.
