Marion,ks
I guess it depends where you are I was discing 180bu irragated corn stalks yesterday with a 331 JD disc it was doing a good job . I am going to use my 610chisel on it to put on NH3. It was dekalb 52-59 I picked it with a 843 head. It might be the variety or how you had your head set, I was shredding the stalks down pretty good with the combine and they where very dry the corn came off at 13%. If you have a lot tuffer stalks you might consider shredding them ahead of the chosel. I am in central Ks.Kind of funny how have about the same machinery I do.
