Texas/New Mexico Stateline | Personally I would just chalk it up to bad luck and bad neighbors. Nothing good ever comes from suing neighbors. Even if you win.
My question is are you wanting to stick it too them because it is a church or is that irrelevant? Say it was another non-profit like a huge craft fair and they set off the fireworks. Same result. Would you be so determined to go after the organizer? Just a thought. I'm not defending the church, and if I were in the church and had any say I would at least have a sit down discussion for sure. But if you have some sort of animosity and that is your motivation, I don't think that is really a good reason to get worked up about it.
Edit to say: I say it isn't good motivation because I know some people very closely that hate their neighbors and are always looking to find a way to "get back" at them. It has ruined their lives as they can't enjoy their own successes without comparing it to the neighbors'.
