I re-read the post and see you sent them a letter with a bill. Might have approached that a bit differently. You put them on the defensive right out of the chute. You would like them to pay, as they are probably the reason for the damage. You can't prove a thing, so why not go in with the hopes they are good people and will listen to some reason. I'm mad they might not pay, but also mad that you may have stopped the communication that is vital for you to get some compensation. I'm pretty sure after you spread the manure by the window and run the straight pipe during services, you will get a check in the mail the next day. Put some after shave on and go talk to someone that may help you get part of that loss. Cool down and do it right. That's a lot of money to let madly go away.
