Washington Co Ks | I've always rented on shares as a lot of land around here was, although that seems to be changing a little. The most common rent on dry land is 6o%/40%. I pay for the seed and do the work and the landlord pays for 40% of the fert. and chem. and application and gets 40% of the crop delivered to the elevator. Pasture is cash and the amount will very depending on who fixes fence and mantains it and the quality of the grass. A lot of the landlords are retired or don't live nearby so the renter takes care of the fence and sees that there is water etc. | |
