| I've never had any problems with speed with my AV suite, I use ESET Smart Security which is supposedly supposed to be one of the quicker options, they say that they've tested it to increase boot length by 22%, which is nothing compared to some of the other suites.
But alot of the stuff out there doesn't work great, I'll admit that, but there are some programs that work excellent, ESET Nod32, Kaspersky, Avira to name a few excellent ones, but the main thing is that it seems like you get what you pay for. It'll be interesting to see how Microsoft's free alternative works out, who knows, it might overun the AV market. | |
