I also heard him say he was not in no till country because of the flat, black, poorly drained soil. There is no till all around his area. Why do people have to make lame excuses why not to no till, just be honest and say I don't like the looks of it and I don't want to do it.


Mostly flat black poorly drained soil here-no till works great-covers too. But the rye thing I have never seen-worth looking into. That is scary-just patten tiled 80 acres two years ago-would be awful to render than useless.

I always wondered the same thing on no-till. Every time I hear someone say "no-till doesn't work here" you don't have to look too far to find someone successfully doing it in that area.

If you don't want to do it-don't. Its not for everyone.
