NC Iowa | who told you to frame the ceiling? morton was going to just screw to the botton of the truss every 7.5 ft. i went with menards bright white steel for the ceiling. bright white is much whiter than regular white. it was screwed to the trusses every 7.5 ft. menards contractor guy assured me it was good enough, and many others in the area have done it that way. me and another guy put it up in a day for less than half what morton wanted. i then sprayed 1.5 inches of closed cell on the atic side on the ceiling followed by 1.5 ft. of fiberglass blown in insulation.
i sprayed foamed the walls too, and then lined the bottom 8 feet with 3/4" bcx plywood painted white. i will leave it uncovered above the 8 foot line. no reason to spend money on steel, as the foam looks good. | |
