We had a 80x80 shop with a wall between the wash bay and welding area. 8' of osb and steel the rest of the way the echo was bad. That shop burned in 06. Built another nearly the same but put acoustical steel the top 8' and solid steel to the floor it is much better as far as echo. We just cleaned it for the first time was a big job but not bad
