London, KY | First off before I get rolling, I BLEED GREEN. Have for years. So, today was the first day in a long time, my dad and my boys, got to meander the countryside semi-window shopping used equipment. No sales hassle, no set time to get home, etc. I honestly had been out of the loop, or had my head in the sand on new Deere equipment I would guess. I just now noticed today, most if not all, of the 5-series tractors were either made/assembled in India, or Mexico WITH FWD axles MADE IN CHINA. I just about died. Where the he#% have I been??? I thought, I would guess, up until this new series, after the 30 series, were MADE, and assembled in Augusta, GA??? I knew the 6-series were still built and put together in Mannheim, and all the larger tractors still here in the good ol' US of A, but wth??? India??!! Don't get me wrong, I still love the green and yellow, but it looks like I'm gonna start looking for equipment from the 30 series and back.... | |
