You have a plus monitor so you measured from the RH side sheet, moved the arms, then set the potentiometer to correct position/number? The last one I worked on did exactly as you describe but it would go to the other side off the baler and stall out. The customer would have to hit the retract button on every bale. The baler had a broken wire going to the position sensor so naturally the monitor had no idea where the arms were positioned and stalled out continuously. Wish you had another monitor you could try to rule out it being a problem. Guess you could open it up and swap the relays around.
