coast of Maine | Our kids are adults and doing great,thought about it a few years back,friend in same boat ,got a set of twins at 2 y/o,sounds great,adopted them,years go by and it gets worse and worse for them,drug addled parents before birth gave horrendous issues,arson in house ,sleep with doors locked in bedroom,commitment to sate mental hospitals,back and forth from age 6 to 18 horrible beyond,they are devout christians and these two animals just about did them in.So its a very very noble thing but be very aware of societies issues you may never expect.They tried to de adopt but not possible in some way here,this is not normal outcome but scared us out..My mom was raised by foster parents in the 40s 50 s as was abandoned by her mom after her dads death,shes always been a super mom and her foster parents I even knew as a child..The details we knew of these twins are undescribable. | |
