| Yes we are. Have been around 10 years or so. Probably 15 kids have come through our home. We were only able to have one natural child and wanted to help kids. We started when our daughter was around 11. She was old enough to understand that we were trying our best to help others. It definitely was eye opening for the three of us. We live in SW Iowa and the need is unreal for foster parents. We have had mainly newborn to 8 or 9 year olds. It is trying but also fulfilling. It is not for everyone but that is a personal decision.
Frustrations come from governments lack of common sense regarding visits and birth parents rights. I’m a Christian and understand forgiveness and grace, however sometimes actions need to change before visits are safe and beneficial.
