North Central Illinois | While election laws are supposed to be overseen by the states the federal government has pretty much always been involved. Various amendments to the Constitution have pertained to gender, race, etc.. If left to states we would still have states that don’t allow blacks and women to vote. Would that be okay with you? We have two factions at work here. The Democrats want anyone and everyone who is over the age of 18 and otherwise qualified to be able to cast their vote in the easiest possible manner. Republicans want to suppress the votes of those they don’t deem worthy because the numbers are the numbers. Republicans are falling into a minority in this country and if everyone who is eligible to vote does so, Republicans don’t stand a chance in a federal election. | |
