Subject: RE: Soil moisture probes

Northeast Nebraska
I am 15 minutes from cropmetrics. Nothing against them just looking at all options. I dont have a ton of different soil types where I irrigate. The issue I am trying to fix is having towable pivots. Moving them takes time and if I can save a few moves that would help. So yes I will over irrigate and then move to the next pad so I can keep up. My watermark sensors are not on some computer and doesn't show some fancy graphs. But they make me scout my fields to check the crop and moisture. Having them a number of years I know where I am at with watering. Paying a $1000+ for a probe is about 2 revolutions for a pivot. Without a doubt I would like to update to some better technology.
