Subject: RE: Soil moisture probes

Southeast MN
Disclaimer: (I work for a CropMetrics Crop Dealer)

We have tried many soil probes here in Minnesota the last few years and so far we feel the Cropmetrics platform is the way to go for ease of use and information received for the money. We started out as a CropX dealer and liked the sensor for easy install and the "fuel gauge" for fill/refill points. The agsense aquatrac lite head units are pretty good and support quite a selection of sensors. We use sentek drill drop for customers and the cropx stand alone sensor. If the full feature isnt for you, Agsense supports a fuel gauge for their sensors and is pretty reasonably priced, but the analytics from CropMetrics is what makes them more expensive. Some say its worth it, others do not. My email is good if you have other questions.
