Subject: RE: Soil moisture probes

Northeast Nebraska
I usually pick the area that dries up quicker. I place them at 12" 24" and 36" I believe new probes will give me a better understanding of my ground capacity. In the end I still need to stay ahead of moving pivots. My irrigation is very manual compared to push button electrical wells. I pump out of rivers so I have to set up everything before I start. Still have a few fields I flood irrigate yet. My flood irrgation is by far the cheapest and seems to out yield pivots. Wanting to start going to drip irrigation on some fields.

I have an idea of what I want but being to cheap to commit to one yet. Having data entered on my crop growth stage, amount of rain and soil types put together will definitely help making irrigation passes.
