Bull it never ran 72 hours on a quarter tank of gas unless it got a huge gas tank!!




The truck is a hybrid, the inverter ran for 72 hours on the big hybrid battery, only starting the engine when the hybrid battery got low. At much less than the inverters full 7.2 KW output to run a few appliances, the engine ran maybe 1/4 of the time or less to recharge the hybrid battery.

Check the link below where these guys used a Ford powerboost (hybrid) to recharge a dead electric car. At the full 7.2 kw output of the inverter, the pickup ran for hours at full electrical load, burning a little less than 1 gallon per hour.
