SC Wisconsin
I definitely want to keep feeding out my own calves from my cows, and start buying groups to match them. I dont think I want to go whole hog and change my entire operation based off 80 acres of rented land though.

When can a guy expect to make snaplage in our neck of the woods? From the little bit of searching I've done on here it should be right before black layer? That actually makes it better than corn silage because like I said he wants to get whatever is out there harvested as early as possible (wheat is perfect time wise). Im just not set up for it at all at the moment is my only hesitation. My thought with corn silage was to just feed cows on stalks so minimal infrastructure and iron to get that ball rolling
