The part that strikes me as odd is putting water pipes in the attic ,on top of the insulation. Seems like a poor idea, if these cold snaps are every 10-15 yrs like people say. In all fairness to those slamming the grid managers for not cold hardening the grid,,,, maybe don’t put your pipes in the attic, where they can freeze?
